Just maybe it is time to be truthful. I am not wineing or

making excuses…….First off  my wife and I have been taking

turns being sick. I have been lazy and disgruntiled about what to

do with this and my other blog. I have not been to to many meetings

around Slidell and also failed in getting meeting updates, so I

plan to that. Also I need to answer comments. I know that I

can not build any trust or relationships  by me not communicating

with you. I will try to do better…Thanks for any support……………

I have known for years that one of my short commings

was and still is procrastination…….Well I sat down  Saturday

 and made my list of things to do…….You know my New Years

resolutions……Got all excited and fired up……..Got  up this

morning, looked in the mirrow. I decieded right then that I

would wait a few days.          Until next time…….John H.

This couple was doing Christnas shopping. She loved shopping but

he really did not like any kind of shopping,They decieded to split

up and then meet up,meet again in McDonalds at the mall entrance.

At the agreeded time she goes to McDonalds but he was not there ,

so after a brief wait she called his cell phone and demanded

” where in the hell are you.”

 Honey, you know that little Jewelery Shop where you

liked the diamond necklace so well.

” How sweet of you.”

Let me finish…..I am in the bar-room next door.

Well so much for triple AAA.

Just think of life a a picture you are painting.You are the artist and

while thinking distructive thoughts (dranking and carousing) ,now

you have a dark and bleak picture. Since you have tasted  good

living and sobriety your picture is bright and beautiful……….

Remember that an artist only needs one SLIP of the brush to

return to the dark picture…….. Have A Great Day, and please

Recently, I read a quote…Every conflict, every struggle that you may

have is simply just the way  you are thinking about it at the time…By all

means possible, Accept it  for what it is and the learn to change your

A little more AA Humor…

This AA couple were both confined to a mental facility. One

day while taking a walk by the pool he just jumps in the

deep end… can’t swim a lick. She dives in and save his life.

Later the head supervisor comes to her room and says that

she has some good news and some bad news. 

The good news, because of your actions we are releasing you.

you can go home.

The bad news is…well, I am sorry to tell you but we just found

your friend hanging  in his bathroom.He hung himself.

Oh, he will be allright..I just hung him there to dry out.
